Deep in the Night - New Stephen Warnes Fine Art Canvas Print
We have added a new fine art canvas print, Deep in the Night, to our impressive collection of work from Stephen Warnes. It isn't exactly new, this impressive and original painting was completed during 1985 and 1986 - but this is the first time it has been scanned and made available as prints.
The inspiration for the artwork came from the lyrics of Roxy Music: -
Deep in the night, flying very strange cargoes. Our soul ships pass by, solo trips to the stars in the sky.
Stephen own words about this new canvas art print: -
This complex and highly detailed painting forms the culmination of my Lancastrian period. It about people's auras and how we are each a biological and electrical universe. Although we are, of course, always alone at the end, unlike the song I do believe we can meet and our souls touch as we make the journey.
The original was over 50"x50", but smaller sizes are available in our fine quality canvas prints. Click the image below for more details.
It is a difficult task within the confines of a computer screen to accurately portray the immense detail in this work. Below are some small extracts of the canvas art print - displayed at between 25% and 50% of the size of the original painting.
